Colors of Life

When a child is born he doesn’t possess the ability to distinguish between the colors because of his immaturity of brain. All the colors appears White to him. Ironically a child trust everything whatever comes to him or whatever is told to him. He is yet to discern about right and wrong or good or bad. It’s not so hard to understand why a child is considered as holy and innocent as almighty God.

As the time goes on the child’s cognitive power is honed by his parents and relatives, especially, by the culture of his immediate surroundings. His brain starts distinguishing the different colors present within white but he is yet to differentiate accurately all the colors from white. But he notably he prefers Yellow as he progress more towards youth.

At 18, the child comes out of the shell of adolescence and commences his Green days. Green the symbol of youth, age of breaking all conventions, all rules, age of dreaming. This is the most crucial period of life when he can see all the colors of life, but, still it’s too early to comprehend the true sense of all the colors.

In his youth, when he falls in love he finds himself as the worshipper of Red and start forgetting the other colors. But he is disheartened or becomes unsuccessful he starts singing in Blue

Once that youth set his foot on world of work, he becomes a full grown man. He is now matured to the fullest degrees. He now understands the difference between Black and White i.e. Evil and Good.

Now, it comes the responsibility of his married life which is combined with love, sympathy, compromise, trust and responsibility. It’s like a rainbow in his life consists many colors of life.

One day that man becomes parent and bring a new life into the world. With his child the man once again the starts finding the old colors which he has forgot or tries to see the colors in the eyes of his progeny. In this way he brings some colors in his life which becomes Gray with the years passes away.

His life has seen all the colors he has to see and his life is no longer perturbed by the curiosity of knowing a new color. With the passing age, the man gradually loses the efficacy of his sense organs, not all the colors are so discretely visible to him. Now again all the colors of his life seems to converge to one single color which he started his life with i.e. White.

Cash Redundancy

 





20^th century has given birth to a new world which appears to be real but it’s not actually. All the essential components of real world are there which can be seen/observed but it’s intangible.

This is called Virtual World. This century has another contribution to the world which has shortened the distance between two people not physically but virtually.

And this has been possible because of the availability of mobile phones and Internet connections.

Currently, India has ranked  2nd in the world by the no of mobile phone in use. The figure is around 752 million which is growing by 15 million per month. With this growing mobile phone usage other organization like bank or other companies have started accommodating this new means. Online trading is already  there in place,  now a new trend of mobile-trading is gradually making progress.

In mobile trading there is a concept called Mobile Money Transfer Identifier (MMID) which is formulated by MPFI and adopted by NPCI and participating banks. It takes care of linking multiple accounts to a mobile, ensuring only people who are registered for receiving will receive money and avoids erroneous transfers to a large extent. Mobile phone user will have to download the mobile banking application on his instrument to remit money.

This is process will usher in lot of new concepts as well as fast and smooth transfer of money. All ready big players like AXIS, ICICI, HDFC and SBI have enabled the service to transfer money into another account. It’s not so far when a vegetable vender will display his mobile number and MMID and you will be able to transfer the required amount to his account at the same time payer and payee will be confirmed by a automatic SMS. So the money will change hands virtually rather than physically making the cash redundant.

In 21st century, every child will get a mobile and a MMID as soon as he is familiar with money or when his father has a feeling of his need. This mobile will be that child’s power of purchase for rest of the life.  The original or the ancient form of trade was barter;  the direct exchange of goods and services. Later one side of the barter were the metals, precious metals (poles, coins), bill, paper money. Like barter or gold coin, one day, paper money will be read in history as virtual trading will eclipse the hand-to-hand cash transfer.

Those who use Debit or credit card can envisage such scenario more clearly. They get their salary credited automatically in the bank account at the month-end. Without having withdrawn any cash from the bank they use to spend money using debit card. Now-a-days, even small shops have started accepting debit card payment. Be it a cricket match, matinee show, restaurant table or  current bill, mobile bill one can avail all this facilities with the help of internet connection in PC or Mobile handset. At this ground it’s not hard to think the day of mobile-to-mobile money transfer without any liquid cash in hand.

Money is just a medium of exchange; It does not matter to us whether it’s  real or virtual. This redundancy not only makes paper note unneeded or useless, it will save lot of Government’s expenditures like manufacturing cost of paper note/coins, vigilance and security expenditure on counterfeiting or black money. Moreover it will be easy to keep check on tax evasion and black money.

Work-life-balance.

In this fast-moving era there is semblance of work-life balance present in our life. Though we constantly point the index finger at the organization where we are working but, it’s a individual onus to maintain the balance. This work-life is a rat-race where everybody elbows other to make a progress, but it’s still possible to keep a balance between the two spheres: Work and Life.
First of all we, should ask one question to ourselves; “What is the aim of my life ?” I think very few of us would be able to answer the question accurately. But one thing is sure that most of us would agree at the point of leading a peaceful-happy-life and this answer easily unravels all our problems. We should look for our priorities in life and accordingly, we should trim out the secondary matters from the essential ones.
What we need most is : Sincerity, not seriousness. Life is not meant to be taken seriously as we are just a guest for few years on earth. There is no point of getting promotion, earning a hefty amount when we can’t spend a whole day with our family or when we don’t know who are our neighbors for last few years. We should be smart at managing our work and should earn as much as needed to maintain the curve on the face’ of our family members.
“Office is not our home”, keep this in mind. Many of us try to spend a long time in office because of free AC, tea, Coffee etc. But there are other responsibilities too. The smile on the face of our children or parents is costlier than the privileges availed in the office. So it’s more important to be effective and smart in managing our time in office.
Short trips with family or frequent dinner party at outside with family is capable of bridging the gap between our absence from many social occasions which we could not take because of robust work life.
Finally, it’s our desire or ego or self-content. I think if we curb our desire, ego or aspiration a little bit, we can gain a lot in return.
Think about it.

Balanced team is necessary but not always the sufficient condition for winning a cricket match.

It is said that cricket is a team game i.e. it’s a game which can be won by the coordinated movement/action of 11 players or where each team member contributes almost evenly. But this theory doesn’t hold true always. More we shift our focus from Test cricket to ODI or IPL, more we see the disobedience of this Universal theory.

Today, when selectors of any team sit down to figure out an 11 member team they always seek for All-rounder instead of a specialist but in reality this team-effort not always translated into triumph.

It’s true that you have to have a balanced team to win a match or before you come to the arena. But how many times we have noticed that a team has won because of equal contribution of all the team members. Rather, in 60 pct cases, we see that someone has to give an outstanding performance i.e. most of the occasion we find that a century or a 4/5 wicket haul has lead to the victory of that team.

On the contrary if a team has a terrific batsman or a bowler and rest of the team members are under average performers the chances of winning of the team is very low since the one and only Mr. Match-winner may not always click.

So as per my opinion, the heroic theory of cricket is that a team should have a balanced strength but when it’s come about victory it needs an explosion or an outstanding performance of an individual..

Imbalanced Compromise

Compromise; This word has been a cliché in our daily life. Though it’s dictionary meaning is “To arrive at a settlement by making concessions”, it’s corrupted from its original meaning.

It’s very rare where we find both the sides are getting benefited by leaving some ground for other. According to me Compromise is something between two parties in order to set some curves straight by curbing one party’s interest i.e. the equation is not arithmetic like  1 + 1 = 2 rather, I believe, it’s binary  0 + 1 = 1 .

We found its application in every sphere of life or in each step of life. From leaving some standing-space in bus or train for a co-passenger, accommodating one’s personal hrs for few more work-files requested (late night) by boss, watching ‘SAAS-BAHU’ leaving high-voltage India-Pakistan match for maintaining the “status quo” in home, to holding back one’s desires/likes/feeling to keep happy or to save other’s trivial interest. So, from morning to night, we are very habituated with this term. Does it always pay ? Does it really make other realize that his comport zone has come at the expense of someone else’s.

It’s not so easy to bracket  Compromise either as good or bad rather it’s a relative term. If the  purpose is noble the Compromise is good otherwise is bad. Let’s take three examples.

On a fine Sunday morning you plan for a short trip to nearby place and you arrange accordingly but on the same day you hear from your mom that your mother want you to take her to the doctor. Will you curtail  the trip for sake of your  mother interest ?

On a public holiday, you plan to watch a movie with your wife but your wife want you to take her to your mother-in-law ? Will you prefer to give priority to your wife’s desire ?

Being a pragmatic, most of use lie in many occasion but then comes horrible Compromises. You grow an impression that there is no harm (of a habitual lie of yourself) at all and you use this means even for a inconsequential cause. Does this Compromise with truth is justified ?

The answer of the 1^st situation is a big YES since it’s undoubtedly for a real cause where you don’t have any other choice. But the answer for the 3^rd situation is a strictly NO unless there is no other alternative or unless it’s noble cause. The 2^nd scenario is very familiar to us and the answer is very dubious.  We speculate what to do. If you are a peace loving  man, you will Compromise with your wife but many people may not. But if it happens frequently and Compromise grows from small to bigger occasion and consequently it may put a stain on the relationship.

Even, we find one sided compromise

So Compromise is good up to certain level or when it calls for righteous ground but it’s detrimental or unproductive when your heart doesn’t  support you.

Foster Your Imagination Power; Go as you like

Prologue 

Every people is poised to become a writer. It's only he who let his imagination power to flow and nurture it with great care become a potential writer. Every one of us has a story to tell in his life. So let's just give a try and put as many lines as you can to continue this story which I have started.

Rule: There is one and only rule in this story writing that DON'T DRAW A CONCLUSION OR CLOSURE TO THE STORY  AND LEAVE THE STORY WITH A CONJUNCTION LIKE: 'AND', 'BUT', 'THEN' etc..

 Here goes the first few lines from Haridas:

It was Friday night around 10:10 PM. I was returning home on the last Train from Rupsanipur .

As it was a chilled winter night the whole train was almost empty. I took an empty compartment and sat beside the window. Though it was very cold night I pulled up the shutter of the window and let the cold wind to flow over my face. I was feeling much better after such a long and hectic day and ……….

23rd January gets less importance than Frienship day, 1st January or any other speacial day.

Are we really civilized, are our social values evaporating from our life day-by-day, are our national heroes or idols loosing value? May be we are educated or hold few degrees but our education does not capable enough to enlighten us or it’s not the true education which can raise the inner divinity existing within us from our birth.

How many of us remember the 23rd January? The day is on the verge of ending, but I haven’t got a single SMS on my mobile. Had it been a Friendship day or 1st January or 15th February, my mobile would have been inundated with SMS(s). How can the 23rd January be less important than a Friendship or Lovers day or any other special day? 
 
With technology or science, we are not really progressing rather we are advancing step by step towards the point of no return.
